Note: You can use timesheets for time billing purposes only if you're using MYOB Accounting Plus.
Timesheets are used to track employee hours for payroll and - for Accounting Plus only - time billing purposes for hourly employees.
If you like, you can use timesheets for salaried employees as well, primarily to keep timesheet records of their holiday and sick pay.
Whether or not you use timesheets is determined by marking or not marking the I Use Timesheets... preference in the System view of the Preferences window. Then how you use timesheets is determined by the choices you make in the preference and in the Payroll Details view - Recurring Pay of the employee's Card Information window.
Completed timesheets can then be used to pay your employees using the Process Payroll Assistant. (To make a timesheet entry)
Purging timesheets
You can purge timesheets that have already been used to pay employees. (Purging activity slips (Accounting Plus only) and Purging timesheets)
Note: When you purge a timesheet, the activity slips on the timesheet are also purged. (Accounting Plus only)
Importing/Exporting timesheets
Timesheets can be imported or exported. (Importing and exporting timesheets and activity slips)
Accounting Plus only -- Only entries not associated with an activity slip are included when you choose to import or export Timesheets. Activity slips, whether or not their hours appear on a timesheet, are included in the import or export of Activity Slips.
