MYOB Help has many new features and a new look
- The Help window is now sized to allow you to view MYOB FirstEdge and MYOB Help at the same time.
- When you click the Help button, you can now choose from a number of different tools to get more information, more quickly, about the window you're working in:
Help for This Window opens an overview of the purpose and features of the window with links to specific procedures you can perform in this window. From the overview, you can also click the Fields button to open a page with full descriptions of every field in the window or the Tips button to open a list of tips relevant to the window. (If you click the F1 button rather than the Help button, the same overview page will open.)
Tell Me How displays a menu of procedures and topics relevant to this window. Some selections open submenus with more procedures. This menu includes many of the same procedures and topics that are listed on the overview page that opens when you choose Help for This Window; they are simply more immediately available.
Tips & Troubleshooting displays a list of tips relevant to the window. This is the same page that opens when you choose Help for This Window and then click the Tips button. Using this selection in the Help button menu allows you to reach it more quickly.
Search the Help opens two windows. The left window is the Search window and the right window is the Help window. Enter the word or words you are searching for in the Search window and the search results appear in that window. You can open the Search window from any Help window, but from the Help button menu, you have direct access to Search without first opening MYOB Help.
- The Help menu, different from the Help button menu discussed here, is displayed by clicking Help on the menu bar at the top of the window. The first two items in this menu also appear in the Help button menu: MYOB FirstEdge Help is the same as Help in this window; Search for Help is named the same in both. The rest of the Help menu includes a different set of selections.
- In response to user requests, MYOB Help now provides an extensive glossary. Choose Glossary from the Topics menu in the Help system to access an alphabetical list of the terms you'll need to know to use MYOB FirstEdge.
- In addition, a set of pop-up glossary definitions puts the meaning of many of the most widely used terms at your fingertips. As you read any help topic, simply click any term with a dotted underline to display its meaning in a separate pop-up window.
